Where To Stay

add to Travel Bag (NEW)

Just as the city itself is full of contrasts, so too is the list of places to stay. Whether you want the intimacy of a bed and breakfast, the amenities of an ultra-modern luxury hotel, or just a reasonably priced, clean room to sleep in after a day of sightseeing, there is lodging to suit you and your wallet.

Downtown

For a romantic step back in time, book at the Stockyards. A replica of a southern plantation, the two-acre (8000 square meters) location has four individual rooms, each decorated in a different 19th-century mode, with private baths. Etta's Place in Sundance Square is also a step back in time. Another charming property is the Texas White House Bed and Breakfast, a 1910 Colonial Revival home near downtown. Decorated in elegant country style, it has been designated a historic building by the City of Fort Worth.

For a more modern accommodation, Park Central Hotel Fort Worth is ideal for the family or the businessperson. It is just across from the Convention Center and four blocks from Sundance Square, and the Bass. Plenty of light and working area are available if you need them, or just enjoy the restful color schemes while you plan your next day.

Hilton Fort Worth is right in the middle of all the downtown action. It boasts a two-story atrium lobby and a comfortably elegant seating area. The ultimate in downtown luxury is the Renaissance Worthington Hotel. Huge and recently renovated (as have been many of the city's older hotels), it boasts spacious rooms with plenty of amenities for either business or pleasure travelers. Multiple on-site restaurants and bars, pool and workout facility mean that you never have to leave the building, but you would be missing a lot of fun that is in easy walking distance.

Historic Stockyards/North

The Stockyards Hotel is a living legend in the historic Stockyards. Built in 1907, the hotel has 52 rooms and suites in three stories and combines Victorian, Native American, Western, and Mountain Man styles of decor. The walls and common areas are loaded with early 20th-century memorabilia; it is said that the infamous bandits Bonnie and Clyde once slept here.

Another living history lesson right in the Stockyards is Miss Molly's Hotel. The historic bed and breakfast, which went from boarding house to bordello to hotel, is also decorated with antiques and memorabilia from the turn of the century. Comfort Inn Fort Worth North is on the North Freeway close to the Stockyards and Alliance Airport; great dining is nearby at Joe T. Garcia's Mexican Restaurant and Cattlemen's Steak House.

Northeast/Fossil Creek

Candlewood Suites Hotel in northeast Fort Worth caters to business travelers with two phone lines in comfortable work areas, generously appointed kitchenettes, and weekly housekeeping unless otherwise requested.

You'll find nicely appointed, reasonably priced accommodations at Homewood Suites Fort Worth. Generous bedrooms are complemented by separate living rooms and roomy combination dining room/work spaces. Fully equipped kitchens mean you don't have to go back out to eat if you're tired after a long day of work or play. Courtyard by Marriott—Fossil Creek is a typical Courtyard, small and comfortable with 148 rooms on three floors, a great breakfast buffet on site, and a cocktail lounge.
