This small taco shop may not look like much, but the food is a real treat. Located in an up-and-coming part of Northeast Portland, the neighborhood is friendly even though it might look a little rough. Latino mural work, including a map of Mexico, covers the walls. Eat at one of the few tables inside or on the sidewalk if the weather permits. When you try the Carne Asada Torta, it will be hard to sample other items. The line to order may get long at dinner, so try phoning ahead. You can also visit their two other locations in the Portland area, one in Sellwood.
