Started in 1983 and originally part of the Portland Parks and Recreation Bureau, this theater company brings all your favorite epic musicals to Portland. The company performs at two theaters: the Eastside Performance Center and the Portland Center for the Performing Arts. The five-show season runs October-July. Performances of Oklahoma, Kiss Me Kate and A Chorus Line attract both young and old audiences, but the regular December performance of Babes in Toyland is a kids' favorite.
