A living museum, this garden is home to many endangered plant species. There is even a berry seed-bank to help the preservation effort. It is a peaceful sanctuary with ferny glens, a large rock garden and many native plants. The best time to visit this 6.5-acre garden estate is in the spring or summer. Be sure not to pass up the colorful show when the "rhodies" are in bloom. The gardens can be seen by appointment on the weekends if you call in advance. Cash only.
