Take a trip to the country. Bald Peak Scenic Viewpoint, another evergreen haven within the confines of greater Portland, crowns the rolling hills of Hillsboro and offers prime picnicking and an exceptional trail. The views of Portland's horizon with grand volcanoes looming in the distance are a huge draw for the park. In fact, some would say these views are the best you'll see from the west side of the Willamette River.
