There's no better time or place to admire these fair flowers, other than the International Rose Test Garden. For more than a century the Portland Rose Society has been gathering annually to show off the best of the thorny specimens. Literally thousands of blossoms are judged, and silver trophies are awarded to the showiest of roses. More than 15,000 people visit the exhibition that is held at Lloyd Center Ice Rink.
