From the middle of June to the middle of August, the Oregon Zoo hosts a mid-week and weekend concert series. Folk, country, ethnic and jazz concerts fill the zoo's outdoor amphitheater every Wednesday and Thursday as well as Friday and Saturday. Picnicking concertgoers crowd the terraced lawns of the theater. You do not have to bring your dinner. You can pick that up at the zoo, but be sure to bring a blanket to lounge upon.
