This yarn shop (with knitting cafe) spans the block with all types and hues of yarn. Though seemingly crammed in without rhyme or reason, visit early or on a weekday, and one of the friendly staff will show you around; weekends can be a bit hectic for the uninitiated. Made for browsing, this store is nothing if not comprehensive, so plan extra time to just look around. There are several classes offered and free tutorials weekly. The inventory includes inexpensive yarns in just about every color as well as unusual and expensive natural fibers, with mid-range fibers being the best value. - Marie Richie
