Lake Tahoe and its adjacent rivers offer year-round fishing opportunities, with the species available changing with the seasons. The season on the Mackinaw River is open all year long. While some stretches of river are catch-and-release-only zones, other regions allow the fishermen to eat what they catch. Guided fishing tours by boat run from USD75-105 depending on the length of the tour. The vessels include heated cabins for relief from the wintry weather. Catches can also be delivered to select Lake Tahoe restaurants and prepared for the fisherman's dinner. Tour start times vary (both morning and afternoon tours are available); so call for details.
