This annual cycling race has been awarded the Australian Sports Tourism Award for 2006. The six-day event attracts a good number of cycling enthusiasts from all over the world. Races are held in prime locations, across the city as well as in other regions. Some of the sub-events held are the Challenge Tour, Club Tour, the Powerade Mini Tour for kids, and the Fun Tour.
