About 30 films are selected yearly from the European Union member countries. Two of the town's better cinemas, Kino 64 U Hradeb and Lucerna, screen the festival's offerings before moving on to Brno where the festival closes. There are also forums where spectators can meet the filmmakers. Some past films include the Spanish "La Comunidad" by Alex de la Iglesia and "De Grot", by Dutch director Martin Koolhoven. Check out the popular all-night-weekend-screening known as the Marathon of European Films. See website for yearly particulars.
