If you happen to be in New Haven during the start of the holidays, trek on down to the Green for a little holiday cheer at the annual tree lighting ceremony. The festivities promise music and merriment and that all-around-good-time, fuzzy feeling you get at that time of year. The event is sponsored by the city of New Haven Office of Cultural Affairs, and everyone participating is asked to bring a children's book to donate to the New Haven Reads Book Bank. Admission is free for all.
