On various Sundays throughout the year the Kwazulu-Natal Philharmonic entertain music-lovers in the relaxed atmosphere of the Kingsmead Cricket Grounds. The concerts, which are ideal family excursions, begin at 5:30p and it is customary to bring a picnic and a bottle of wine. The music includes light classical and philharmonic rock (contemporary music with orchestral arrangements). Expect about 3000-4000 people, so a festive atmosphere prevails.
