The year-round, Alabama Shakespeare Festival attracts more than 300,000 visitors every year. Originally located in Anniston, the festival faced bankruptcy in 1983 and was about to be closed down. That was when Wynton Blount agreed to relocate it in a 250 acre park in Montgomery. With its huge stage and advanced sound system, the festival just continues to gain popularity each year. Check out the various plays and skits enacted by groups from different parts of the world. Senior citizens and students can enjoy a 25% discount on their tickets and if a play gets canceled, you can use the same ticket for another show.
