Many folks traditionally celebrate Boxing Day on the day after Christmas. In Barbados, it's the sport of kings that holds the greatest attention on that day. After the church services and the family reunions of Christmas Day, Barbadians take to the outdoors on Boxing Day (also known as Christmas Bank Holiday here), and going to the races is one favourite way of spending the day. Post time is typically 1p. Kids can enjoy the multiplicity of attractions in the inner circle of the track, while adults can try their luck betting on their favourite horse. Admission to the grandstand is BBD10 per person.
