For university students, the clouds of final exams hang over them in the month of May. When this ends in the second week of June, the colleges witness public and private outbursts of relief, excitement and farewells. Many of the colleges hold May Balls, lavish ticket-only affairs, and as the next day dawns, survivors gather for a final souvenir photograph. Visitors at this time can enjoy some of the numerous concerts, recitals and plays that are held throughout the city. Varsity, the student newspaper, is a good place to look for details last-minute organized events.
