A pivotal event of the Hobart Summer Festival, Tasmanian produce is the secret to Taste's popularity. Try the Atlantic salmon, game meats, mushrooms of many varieties or summer berries. Wines, ciders and apple-based spirits are showcased. For five days, the waterfront is host to many stalls and many hungry people. One visit will not do justice to the variety of food and wine. Entertainment, including buskers, ensures that no two visits are quite the same. Admission: Free, except for New Year's Eve tables when it is necessary to book. See website for yearly details.
