Known as home to Hawaii's largest whale population during the winter, this part of National Humpback Whale Sanctuary offers good viewing from both the beach and the boats that take onlookers to the water. Other island wildlife to watch for include turtles and dolphins. Tours of the Kaunakakai Harbor offer visitors some of the closest possible looks at these whales.
