Cape Town residents look forward to this annual December-through-March festival in the lush winelands of Stellenbosch, less than a half hour's drive from Cape Town. The event takes place on the historic Spier Estate, a vineyard founded in the late 17th century. Today, attendees enjoy a rotating program of entertainment that features classical music, opera, theater and comedy. Of course, plenty of wine-tasting opportunities abound and the well-appointed estate features a newly renovated hotel complex, cheetah breeding center, and golf course. Admission prices TBA.
