Organized by the British Council in Israel, the British Film Festival is celebrated in many cinema halls all over Jerusalem, Haifa, Nazareth and Tel Aviv. Remarkable movies by several British producers, directors and actors are played throughout these cities at various times. Major box-office hits and documentary films that tackle contemporary issues like sex and violence constitute a major part of the event. Professional acting workshops are also held for budding actors.
