The Epiphany is celebrated in Venezuela in various fashions. Children sing songs and are given gifts on January 6 to mark the Three Kings’ visit to the Infant Jesus’ manger in Bethlehem. The day is also honored with religious Masses and colorful processions that feature singing and dancing. Some regions, such as San Miguel de Boconó, go all out to mark the Feast of the Three Kings. Townspeople don elaborate costumes and masks and await the arrival of the Three Kings on horseback.
