This festivity brings the entire Boulder community together for the holidays, and is a great opportunity to sip eggnog and sing songs about Parson Brown with friends. The parade features high school marching bands, which cease their fight songs for a few hours to provide traditional Christmas music. Holiday-themed floats, sponsored by local merchants and various civic organizations, add to the fun and mood of the moment. The parade, which winds through downtown Boulder, takes place at night to optimize the lighting of trees and houses.
