Candle light tours at Old Fort Niagara are considered one of the most charming holiday traditions in the area, when the fort gets all dressed up with a little help from the Youngstown Garden Club. Visitors can discover the historic 'French Castle' by candle and lantern light as they meander from room to room as historically-dressed interpreters depict French and British fort residents from the 1700s. The colonial tradition of 'firing the Christmas guns' outside the castle will be observed three times during the evening.
