It's somewhat of an oxymoron: Christmas in Cairo. But this staunchly Muslim city presents some of the Christian holiday's musical traditions beautifully. The Christmas Concert, as performed by the Cairo Symphony Orchestra, presents classic orchestral favorites and instrumental solos. The orchestra's A Capella Choir rounds out the vocal presentation. Ticket prices vary from EGP5 to EPG50, depending upon where you are seated, and tickets can be reserved up to one month in advance. Men are required to wear a jacket and tie to this performance, and children under seven are not allowed.
