Spend your tropical Christmas doing something a little out of the ordinary. Each year, boatmen, visitors and curious locals flock to historic Nelson's Dockyard on Christmas morning to ring in the holiday with a champagne toast. The bubbly beverage is served at the site of the three capstans, a big point of interest at the dockyard and formerly used for careening warships. In the past, a fiddler would play a sweet song on the top of the capstan to bolster the hearts of those hauling down the masts of their ships. Today, yachtsmen congregate there on Christmas morning. The price of this event has yet to be determined. All profits are given to charity.
