The Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital & Medical Center has been standing since 1875, making it not only one of the oldest, but equally highly advanced medical centers in the region. The hospital has garnered many accolades over the years, including the H2E Environmental Leadership Award (2007) and the "Five Star" (2007). Apart from having excellent facilities like the cancer center and heart institute, the Legacy Good Samaritan is also the only hospital in Oregon to have Breast-Specific Gamma Imaging. Other affiliates in Portland are the Emanuel Hospital, Meridian Park Hospital, and the Mount Hood Medical Center.
